The AOYAD Royal Council is the highest governing body that unites Yoruba Kings, Chiefs, and representatives worldwide — guiding cultural programmes, royal affairs, and development.

Council Levels & Leadership Roles
1. The President
Role: Chief executive & figurehead — sets strategic direction, represents AOYAD globally, and ensures mission delivery.
- Global Representation — leads diplomatic & cultural partnerships.
- Strategic Oversight — aligns goals with values.
- Leadership — coordinates across leadership levels.
2. The Secretary-General
Role: Chief administrator handling daily operations, official communications, and implementation of Council directives.
- Administrative Management — official documents & records.
- Communication — internal & external coordination.
- Meeting Coordination — agendas, reports, minutes.
3. Vice Presidents (Regional Leads)
Role: Oversee AOYAD activities across continents and regions, linking national chapters to global strategy.
- Regional Leadership — implement initiatives locally.
- Collaboration — work with national chapters for program delivery.
4. Director of Publicity / Communication
Role: Manages public relations, media outreach, and AOYAD’s messaging.
- PR & Media — lead outreach & campaigns.
- Internal Comm. — keep members informed.
5. The Treasurer
Role: Manages financial operations, record-keeping, and ensures fiscal transparency.
